  11. Does anyone have a fix for the incompatibility between Smith Micro
  12. Software's MacComCenter fax software and Microsoft Word 6.0.1 (Power Mac
  13. 6100/66, O/S 7.5.1), namely, the fax print driver totally and weirdly
  14. alters just about all the format parameters?  That's the fax software that
  15. US Robotics ships with their Sportster 28.8 for the Mac.  Smith Micro
  16. Software's tech support says they have no fix and take no responsibility
  17. for the problem: "it's just how Word interprets our print parameters".

  19. To all who have complained about US Robotics' cutomer support, add my
  20. name.  It's the worst!

  22. Their product seems very sensitive to heat and needs just the right
  23. initialization string, or else it cuts-out of PPP connections on a regular
  24. basis.  I use AT&F1&A3&B1&M4&H1&N0&R2&S1Q0E0V1X4.  And I place the unit
  25. near a cold window.
